TruBuild began in late 2023 with a bold question:

Why has construction, one of the world's largest industries, lagged so far behind sectors like biotech in digital transformation?

Biotech embraced computation, structured data modelling, and advanced mathematics to accelerate discovery and reduce uncertainty. Construction, by contrast, remained heavily document-driven, fragmented, and manually interpreted.

From the beginning, TruBuild was not built as another construction software tool. It was founded with a deeper ambition: to introduce structured computational thinking into construction decision-making.

The goal was to bridge the gap between disciplines — applying principles from biotech, AI, and mathematical modelling to one of the most complex, high-stakes environments in the world: capital project procurement.

TruBuild was founded by Bisrat Degefa and Dr Sari Sabban, bringing together over 30 years of combined experience across construction, digital transformation, advanced computation, and AI. Their backgrounds shaped a different approach.

Instead of automating workflows, TruBuild focused on modelling decision logic. Instead of managing documents, it structures reasoning. Instead of producing black-box outputs, it generates explainable, evidence-linked analysis.

The platform evolved through real-world procurement exercises, stress-tested in complex, multi-stakeholder environments where transparency and auditability are non-negotiable.

Today, TruBuild operates at the intersection of construction, computation, and governance — introducing a new layer of intelligence into how capital projects are evaluated and defended.
